TORA HSE Department Successfully Completed the September 18 Process

TORA Quality and HSE Officer Derviş Altuğ Arıcan evaluated the September 18 Process and gave information about the upcoming studies.

“We provide authorized sales, after-sales installation, installation and service support of many world-renowned companies such as Gilbarco Veeder-Root fuel pumps, tank automation systems, Thomas tank wall leakage control systems, Status gas detector systems, PCL air water meters, Wash-Tec automatic car wash systems, Fibrelite waterproof manhole covers, UPP fuel infrastructure installation materials, EAE fuel oil lighting systems. We always provide awareness with the quality of the products and services we provide. During the September 18 process, we never compromised on quality and trust.”

TORA Quality and HSE Department, with its large staff of 6 people, prepared for the September 18 Process by starting to work 3-4 months in advance. The focus was on 3 basic pillars that are important in occupational safety: Personnel, Equipment and Method.

First of all, HSE trainings were renewed for a total of approximately 200 field personnel. The personnel were reminded about the accidents that have occurred in the sector in the field, in their offices, in every environment, and the necessary measures to prevent these geese.

At the same time, equipment such as portable gas detectors, vapor digestion systems, electrical fuse locks, fire blankets used in firefights, especially HSE equipment, were checked and necessary improvements were made. By keeping HSE Awareness at the top, we focused on Risk assessments and Emergencies by taking HSE Breaks in the field. As it is known, the change of flag of the stations was a period of racing time and psychologically intense. In the field, we took the lead in the field conditions where the same 5-6 contractors needed to be coordinated in the context of workflow and HSE at the same time. We have been in constant contact with the main distribution and Contractor managers. The main distribution and contractor managers who support us are also pleasing in terms of the sector. We completed a difficult process successfully and without any accidents.

Finally, the Safe Work Method Statements (ECYB) and Generic Risk Analyses of the intensive work to be done in the field were emphasized. TORA Maintenance teams, who supported field activities by temporarily suspending their activities during the busy period, were given trainings on the work they could do and practical training was given through ECYB.

A total of 142 people were trained between August and September. 38 Site inspections were carried out. 4 Quality and Select Personnel, especially on September 15-25, dispersed to different parts of Turkey, especially in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, and were constantly in the field with the personnel.

On this occasion, we completed the September 18 process without any problems and accidents under intense working conditions, with their dedication to HSE rules, their devoted work, your superior performance and support, and their fast and effective interventions. We would like to express our gratitude to all our employees and regional services who contributed, with the hope that our cooperation will continue to increase.
